“Never Mind” — Chris Beachy

It’s the start of the quarter, but the work’s already starting to pile up.  Wind down with Chris Beachy’s latest track “Never Mind” and its funky psychedelia.  Layers of sweeping synth sounds and smooth beats fill this creation to the brim, and Beachy’s sweet vocals keep things low key.  Lyrics seem to disintegrate after some very lovely and telling lines: “These tired eyes, they match the fear / Of not having someone near”, as they combine with what can only be described as submarine-astro sounds.  Hopefully this little brainchild will spawn more ditties in the coming months–Beachy’s already got another fresh new velvety track, “Chocolate Jesus”, also very deserving of a listen (it’s unclear if there’s a real connection to the Tom Waits song, but it’s certainly just as addictive as the chocolate Jesus Waits sings about…).
